We are seeking a highly skilled AP Specialist to join our team on a home-based basis. As a key member of our accounts payable department, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end process, from invoice processing and payment to vendor relations and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Invoice Processing: Reviewing, verifying, and processing invoices for payment in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Vendor Management: Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, resolving payment discrepancies, and handling vendor inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Expense Reconciliation: Reconciling invoices with purchase orders and receipts to ensure accuracy and prevent errors.
  • Payment Processing: Initiating and coordinating payments to vendors, including checks, electronic transfers, and ACH payments, while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Financial Reporting: Preparing reports on accounts payable activities, including outstanding balances, cash flow projections, and aging reports, to provide insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Expense Tracking: Monitoring and controlling company expenses by evaluating payment terms and negotiating discounts with vendors to optimize costs.
  • Problem Resolution: Identifying and resolving issues related to accounts payable, such as disputes, late payments, or missing documentation, in a timely and efficient manner.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of Accounts Payable and/or General Accounting experience, or equivalent.
  • Strong verbal, written, and English communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, databases, and accounting software.
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel, pivot tables, advanced formulas, and proficiency in accounting software like QuickBooks, SAP, etc.
  • In-depth understanding of accounts payable principles, standards, and reconciliation.
  • High accuracy in financial records and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
