Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled geospatial professional to support project development, feasibility assessment, implementation, and long-term monitoring.

  • The successful candidate will analyze and model remote sensing and geospatial data for applications such as land cover/use mapping, fire risk assessment, above-ground biomass estimation, and deforestation risk modeling.
  • Utilizing cutting-edge technologies, including cloud computing, machine learning, and programming languages (Python, JavaScript, SQL), the selected individual will build automated workflows, enhance geospatial infrastructure, and support MRV (Monitoring, Reporting & Verification) processes.
  • The role also involves supporting field data collection through drone coordination and validation activities, providing technical guidance and training, and ensuring geospatial quality control across teams.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyzing and processing large datasets using geospatial software and programming languages.
  • Developing and implementing machine learning models for image classification and segmentation.
  • Creating and managing automated workflows for remote sensing data processing.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality geospatial data delivery.
  • Providing training and technical guidance to team members on geospatial best practices.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in GIS, Environmental Science, Forestry, Computer Science or related fields.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Remote Sensing & GIS.
  • Experience and expertise in workflow automation, machine learning/deep learning techniques for image classification and segmentation.
  • Familiarity with photogrammetry software (e.g., Pix4D, DroneDeploy, Agisoft).
  • Programming skills particularly in Python and Google Earth Engine.
