Job Description

At our organization, we are seeking a skilled Python developer to join our team in supporting our Customer Operations division. This role offers the opportunity to work with a market-leading technology platform serving the global network construction industry.

This position is ideal for a developer who thrives on solving real-world problems and creating solutions that drive operational efficiency. You will design, build, and maintain internal tools and automation systems that streamline workflows for operations teams and enhance the customer experience.

The focus of this role will be on developing custom scripts and applications to process geospatial data, automate transformation tasks, and manage data pipelines into databases. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and rapidly deliver impactful tools and solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Design, develop, and maintain internal tools and scripts using Python to support operations workflows.
  • Develop and optimize ETL processes for spatial data into relational databases such as PostgreSQL/PostGIS.
  • Automate data transformation and processing pipelines to improve efficiency and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with operations and product teams to identify opportunities for tool development and automation.
  • Troubleshoot and support internal tools and workflows in both production and development environments.
  • Evaluate code quality through version control, testing, code reviews, and comprehensive documentation.
  • Foster best practices in software engineering and continuously seek ways to improve development processes.
