Front-End Developer Position

Sharesource is seeking a skilled and solutions-oriented Front-End Developer to join our team.

This role involves developing and maintaining complex front-end applications using modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, along with spatial mapping libraries like Mapbox, Google Maps API, or Esri. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of performance optimization, geospatial data integration into web applications, and efficient use of hooks, state/store patterns in React.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain front-end applications using React (functional components, hooks, state management).
  • Integrate spatial mapping tools such as Mapbox, Google Maps API, or Esri into web applications.
  • Optimize application performance across various browsers and devices, including code profiling and build optimization (e.g., WebPack, Lighthouse).
  • Ensure responsive design, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
  • Work within Agile teams, participating in sprint planning, daily standups, and code reviews.
  • Utilize Git for version control and CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployment.
  • Develop within cloud-based environments (e.g., AWS Amplify, S3, CloudFront).
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of experience developing production-level applications using JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with React, including efficient use of hooks, state/store patterns, and performance tuning.
  • Proven ability to integrate and work with geospatial mapping libraries (Mapbox, Google Maps API, Esri, etc.).
  • Deep understanding of responsive web design principles and accessibility best practices.
  • Experience profiling and optimizing web app performance using modern tooling.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments and using Git-based workflows.
