Job Title: Senior Back-End Developer

We are seeking an experienced senior back-end developer to join our team and contribute to the development of scalable, high-performance backend systems and APIs using Python.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, including experience with public-facing API products, and a solid understanding of full-stack technologies required to build and run APIs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend systems and APIs using Python.
  • Develop and manage public-facing APIs, ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient access.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration and deployment.
  • Implement observability practices using tools such as Datadog, New Relic, or similar.
  • Collaborate with frontend developers, product teams, and stakeholders to align backend architecture with product needs.

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in backend software development, including building public-facing API products.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, with expertise in frameworks such as Flask or FastAPI.
  • Proficiency in SQL and PostgreSQL, with experience in geospatial extensions such as PostGIS.
  • Solid understanding of full-stack technologies required to build and run APIs.
  • Experience working with AWS services, including API Gateway, Lambda, and the Serverless Stack.
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and event-driven technologies such as webhooks.

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with geospatial data formats such as GeoJSON, shapefiles, or KMZ.
  • Understanding of telecom or utility network planning and deployment workflows.
  • Experience with frontend frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular (a plus).
