Achieve Financial Excellence as a Business Controller

Citi Finance is responsible for the firm's financial management and related controls. The team comprises disciplines including Treasury, Tax, Controllers and Financial Planning & Analysis, and manages and partners on key Citi initiatives and deliverables.

We are seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as a Business Controller based in Taguig, BGC, Metro Manila. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to grow your career, give back to your community and make a real impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily and monthly controls to ensure accuracy and completeness of TTS financial statements.
  • Provide analytical insights to business partners on any financial related queries.
  • Participate in system transformation, control and reporting improvement projects.
Your Role as a Business Controller
  • Detect, investigate, and resolve any anomalies in the financial ledger, incorrect bookings, significant Month-over-Month/Quarter-over-Quarter variances.
  • Escalate any material events to avoid misreporting in Citi financial books.
  • Work collaboratively across functions, including Business, Finance, Operations & Technology and Risk.
Qualifications
  • 2-5 years of Finance/Accounting experience (preferably from an international bank).
  • Excellent verbal and written English.
  • Understanding of Financial and Accounting concepts (US GAAP).
  • Controller mind-set and process improvement drive.
  • Strong data analysis skills. Advanced knowledge of MS Excel is a must. Business Intelligence experience (Power BI, Tableau) will be an advantage.
