Job Details

The primary function of this role is to prepare and cook food products as part of a culinary team.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare hot food products by cooking, portioning, and presentation according to standard recipes and portion controls.
  • Manage mise-en-place of assigned station following basic food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Prepare items for broiling, grilling, frying, sautéing or cooking methods by portioning, battering, breading, seasoning, and/or marinating.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and inventory of the station.
  • Assist in food preparation assignments during off-peak periods as needed.
  • Ensure par stocking of all stocks throughout operations guided by lead time in requisition.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Directly reports to the Sous Chef/Head Sous Chef. Essential skills include follow-up on standard recipes, management of proper plate presentation, garnish setup for all dishes, and assistance in food prep assignments during off-peak periods.
