Remote Accounting Manager Position

This is a dynamic opportunity to lead our accounting operations and work closely with our financial team. As a Remote Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting functions, including financial close, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and general ledger maintenance.

You will also be involved in developing and implementing accounting processes and procedures, as well as identifying areas for process improvements. Additionally, you will assist in preparing and reviewing financial statements, as well as providing guidance and support to junior staff members.

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. You should also be proficient in QuickBooks Online and Advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, data structuring, and financial modeling).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the month-end close process, ensuring adherence to the timeline and checklist.
  • Review final profit & loss (P&L) scrub and approve journal entries prepared by staff.
  • Ensure the accuracy of the balance sheet workbook, including spot-checking source document filing.
  • Review and update financial notes, charts, graphs, and footnotes to ensure alignment with KPIs and executive summaries.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of accounting experience in financial close, variance analysis, and payroll processing.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, data structuring, and financial modeling).
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving mindset.
