We are seeking a skilled and innovative Finance Systems Automation Engineer to join our team. As a crucial link between business and technology, you will play a vital role in implementing and optimizing our financial systems with a strong focus on system automation.

This is an exciting techno-functional position where you will use your deep technical and functional knowledge to analyze system issues, triage bugs, and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions.

You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of system improvements, from gathering business requirements and designing solutions to hands-on configuration, scripting, testing, and continuous support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with integration and automation teams to automate key financial processes and workflows.
  • Interview business users to identify opportunities for automation and propose solutions that increase efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Deep dive into system processes to understand, document, and propose optimizations.
  • Work with integration APIs to build and manage automated data flows between systems.
  • Research and analyze available market AI solutions to identify opportunities and propose solutions that can benefit the organization.
Business Requirements & Analysis:
  • Work closely with business partners, internal or external, to understand processes, gaps, and goals.
  • Analyze existing and future state business processes, systems, and flows of data.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to developing and modifying business processes and systems.
  • Partner with business, internal, and external technology teams to define associated system requirements and solutions.
  • Participate in systems implementation projects (requirements documentation, systems configuration, test documentation/execution, issue identification and resolution).
  • Provide technical/functional solutions to business.
Business Solutions Design, Delivery & Support:
  • Solve technical/systems issues by investigating system configurations, system integrations, and API's.
  • Take initiative to gather information, investigate gaps/issues, identify potential solutions, and present to both Business and IT stakeholders.
  • Facilitate review sessions with functional owners, subject matter experts, and end-user representatives.
  • Investigate Finance production support issues and ensure timely resolution.
  • Optimize Finance systems and processes to scale with our growth by identifying and implementing processes and managing daily issues, reporting, and month-end close.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop project milestones and timelines for development, UAT, production validation, and go live.
  • Participate in scheduled system upgrades, including test plan development, testing, reviewing, and evaluating new functionality.
  • Support delivery of reporting, dashboards, and business intelligence capabilities through partnership with IT and Business.
  • Lead and perform data management and migration activities.
  • Ensure training and timely communications in accordance with project timelines.
  • Engage in other areas of Finance such as Security, Compliance, Reporting, Production, and participate in change management support to ensure projects are addressed from end to end and the needs, interests, and success criteria of the business are met.
