Senior Automation Engineer Opportunity

Job Overview:

As a senior automation engineer, you will lead the development and implementation of automated test strategies for our comprehensive ERP platform. You will work on complex business processes spanning financial management, asset tracking, and government compliance workflows across multiple web applications.

  • Design and maintain custom test automation frameworks to ensure scalability and maintainability.
  • Develop data management strategies using database manipulation techniques.
  • Mentor team members on framework-specific patterns and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like TeamCity and Mercurial/Git.
  • Perform cross-browser testing and develop and execute an overall automation strategy for a complex ERP system.
  • Participate in code review meetings and support other testers and automation engineers in approach, design, script development, execution, and reporting.
  • Analyze and communicate test results and defect resolution tasks.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in test automation for multi-platform, multi-user web-based applications.
  • Experience with C# to TypeScript code generation workflows.
  • SQL Server proficiency and database setup/management skills.
  • Test data management strategies using direct database manipulation techniques.
  • Understanding of database-driven test scenarios.
  • Mercurial (Hg) source control experience with TortoiseHg.
  • NUnit testing framework expertise.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as C# or Java, TypeScript.
  • Experience designing and executing functional UI, backend, and API-based manual and automated tests.
  • Experience with Agile – Scrum, Kanban, or Lean development processes.
  • Experience with security testing is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
