This role is ideal for an experienced Senior Actuary Manager who is passionate about IFRS 17 reporting and compliance. As a key member of our actuarial team, you will work closely with our valuation experts, accountants, and investment teams to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting.

Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the implementation of IFRS 17 valuation standards, including data preparation, setup, and execution of Prophet runs, extracting results, and filling in actuarial/reporting system forms. You will also be responsible for performing checks and analyzing results, as well as investigating and responding to management queries.

In addition to your technical expertise, you will contribute to the design and execution of proposed controls and documentation on the end-to-end IFRS 17 valuation and reporting process. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Independently perform IFRS 17 BAU reporting tasks, including data preparation, setup, and execution of Prophet runs, extraction of results, and filling in actuarial/reporting system forms.
  2. Prepare business requirement specifications (BRS) and perform user acceptance testing (UAT) and impact quantification for quarterly IFRS 17 Prophet model enhancement exercises.
  3. Support business planning exercises for IFRS 17 and model governance initiatives.
  4. Perform IFRS 17-related experience studies, including data validation, analysis of results, assumption recommendation, report preparation, and impact quantification.
  5. Other special projects assigned by the IFRS 17 Reporting Lead, Head of Valuation, or Chief Actuary.

Requirements:

  • Graduate degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or similar courses.
  • Near Associate/Associate of the Actuarial Society of the Philippines or Society of Actuaries.
  • At least 7 years of actuarial experience, preferably in a multinational life insurance company, with exposure to IFRS 17.
  • Relevant experience in using FIS Prophet and Data Conversion System (DCS).
