Controller Job Description

The controller will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations of the organization, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting and Analysis:
    • Prepare and present accurate financial statements that meet regulatory requirements.
    • Provide detailed financial analyses to support strategic decision-making.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
    • Lead the budgeting process, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
    • Monitor budget performance and recommend corrective actions as needed.
  • Cash Flow Management:
    • Manage cash flow levels by optimizing accounts receivable, accounts payable, and treasury functions.
    • Forecast cash flow needs to support business operations and growth initiatives.
  • Compliance and Audit:
    • Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements, including tax filings and audits.
    • Coordinate with external auditors to complete audits efficiently.
  • Process Optimization:
    • Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure accuracy and security.
    • Leverage technology and software tools to improve financial processes and reporting.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Manage and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and professional growth.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial operations with business objectives.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
  • 8+ years of progressive financial management experience, ideally in a software or tech company.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and familiarity with financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and financial planning tools.
  • Experience working with cross-border financial operations is highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Fluency in English.
