Accounts payable management is a critical function in any organization, and the Accounts Payable Analyst plays a vital role in ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices.
About This RoleThis position involves receiving, reviewing, and processing invoices for payment, verifying invoice details, and maintaining vendor relationships. The Accounts Payable Analyst must ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Receive and review invoices for payment, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Verify invoice details, including prices, quantities, terms, and approvals.
- Maintain vendor accounts, including setup, maintenance, and communication regarding payment inquiries and discrepancies.
- Cultivate positive relationships with vendors and resolve issues or disputes in a timely and professional manner.
- Prepare and process payment batches, including checks, electronic transfers, and ACH payments.
- Reconcile payments with invoices and ensure proper documentation and authorization for all transactions.
- Reconcile accounts payable sub-ledger to the general ledger on a regular basis.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies or variances in a timely manner.
- Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and reimbursement guidelines.
- Analyze accounts payable data and trends to identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and efficiency enhancements.
