Job Overview

Gorilla Commerce is seeking a strategic and analytical Merchandise Planner to drive sustainable growth and profitability of assigned categories. As a key member of our team, you will develop and manage financial plans that meet business objectives.

About the Role

This role requires a skilled professional who can juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and prioritization skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reporting and Data Management
    • Pull data to refresh daily sales reporting used by cross-functional teams.
    • Support weekly sales and financial data validation across multiple systems and data sources.
    • Update weekly and monthly financial reports used by the Merch Planning team and Leadership Team.
  • Forecasting and Planning
    • Enter plans in planning system for new products based on approved product briefs.
    • Forecast sales and profitability in planning system for assigned products, incorporating current market conditions and historical sales performance to develop strategic financial targets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field.
  • 2+ years of proven success in planning, financial analysis, and inventory management.
  • Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks/projects with adherence to deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
