Role Overview

This position involves working on the development of automated test scripts and frameworks for various software applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain automated testing solutions to ensure the quality and reliability of software products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define testing requirements and create detailed testing plans.
  • Lead the defect management process by identifying, logging, and tracking defects; conduct root cause analysis for critical issues and implement preventive measures to reduce future defects.
  • Design and execute non-functional testing (e.g., performance, security) to ensure the stability and security of software systems under expected loads.
  • Integrate automated testing and quality gates within CI/CD pipelines, working with DevOps teams to embed continuous testing in the delivery process.
  • Establish and monitor key quality metrics (e.g., test coverage, defect leakage, test cycle time) and regularly report testing status to stakeholders. Use insights from metrics to drive improvements in testing processes and tooling.
  • Promote a culture of quality by influencing teams to adhere to testing standards and best practices, providing mentorship and technical guidance to junior Quality Engineers, and championing quality initiatives across the organization.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in software development with QA automation testing.
  • Proficiency in programming languages.
  • Experience in software testing methodologies and quality assurance tools and technologies.
