Job Summary:

  • We are seeking an accounting professional to join our team as a Staff Accountant.
Job Description:

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accounting files and records, analyzing data and trends by developing spreadsheet reports, preparing transaction journal entries and account reconciliations, and ensuring financial data is accurate and complete before processing in Deltek Vision.

Additionally, the Staff Accountant will help review and maintain accounting procedures, recommend opportunities for change, perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including Bank accounts, meet all monthly, quarterly, and annual process and reporting deadlines, provide support with budget versus actual reporting and variance analysis as needed, proactively communicate potential issues to Manager, and participate in special projects, analysis, and ad-hoc tasks as requested by management.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required. 1-5 years of experience in related field preferred. Industry experience in engineering/architecture preferred. Strong attention to detail, deadline-oriented, and excellent communication skills required. Understanding of GAAP and FAR regulations required. Deltek Vision systems experience preferred.
