Medical Coders play a vital role in healthcare organizations by accurately translating medical records into universal codes for billing purposes.

  • Translate complex medical data into standardized codes to ensure accurate claims processing
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of coding systems, including ICD-9 and ICD-10 guidelines
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless documentation and efficient workflows

Requirements:
  • Active AHIMA or AAPC Medical Coding Certification (CPC-A, CPC, CIC, CCS, COC)
  • Experience in coding from paper charts as well as electronic medical records
  • Strong understanding of ICD-9 or ICD-10 Coding principles in relation to HCC/Risk Adjustment Coding
