The primary role of the incumbent is to provide support in facilitating the land acquisition of identified lots for project development activities.

Job Description:

  • Conduct due diligence and review of available land and/or ownership documents prior to contracting, ensuring completeness and/or sufficiency.
  • Identify risks/issues and propose possible strategies to address them.
  • Assist with land-related matters for financing due diligence.
  • Monitor completeness of land documents and compliance with lender's requirements in financial due diligence.
  • Prepare, review, and draft agreements/contracts prior to contracting for further review/approval by line manager.
  • Draft additional documents necessary to support land acquisition/contracting documents for further review/approval of line manager.
  • Draft letters, notices, and correspondences to landowners/contractors/local government agencies and other counter-parties for further review and approval of line manager.
  • Assist LA Managers and field staff/consultants on negotiations with landowners and stakeholders for acquisition and/or lease of properties.
  • Assist in the application of Land Use Conversion application with DAR including relevant processes before RD.
  • Provide timely and accurate legal advice and counsel relative to land matters.
  • Coordinate with LA Managers and field staff/consultants on lacking documentation necessary in the execution and curing of land contract/agreements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Law Degree
  • Member of the IBP in good standing
  • At least 5 years experience in supporting land acquisition activities
  • Willing to work on-site
