We are seeking a seasoned Accounting Professional to join our team in a Property Accountant role. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health of our organization by performing critical accounting functions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and journal entries
  • Preparing monthly bank reconciliations and cash flow reports
  • Maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts across multiple properties
  • Preparing and maintaining mortgage schedules and loan documentation

You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company internal controls. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and make a significant impact on our organization's financial stability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on accounts payable
  • Experience in property management or low-income housing is an asset

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other Microsoft Office tools
