Infrastructure Director

The Infrastructure Director oversees the activities of infrastructure teams, encompassing evaluation, selection, capacity planning, implementation, daily administration, performance tuning, and replacement of enterprise-level infrastructure.
The role involves planning, managing, and controlling system/database/network administration activities. It entails setting objectives, monitoring their achievement, and defining processes to facilitate goal attainment.
The Infrastructure Director manages workload and priorities to optimize resource allocation, aligning technical priorities with business objectives. They lead tactical and strategic planning for enterprise-level infrastructure based on business plans and adopt industry best-practices for cost-effective infrastructure.
The role includes managing infrastructure health through vendor maintenance agreements, regular preventive maintenance visits, and controlled network/server rooms. The Infrastructure Director also ensures documentation completeness and compliance with configuration management processes.
Additionally, they prepare budget plans for operations and projects, manage expenses within set guidelines, and recommend technical standards for endpoint infrastructure.
Finally, the Infrastructure Director handles personnel training and development strategies, performance management, and supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws.
