Job Title: Store Cashier

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a cash handler at a retail establishment. As a cashier, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless customer transactions and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

  • The ideal candidate will have basic math skills to collect payments and make change accurately and efficiently.
  • They should also be proficient in operating registers, scanners, scales, and credit/debit card terminals with ease and accuracy.
  • Balancing the cash register and generating reports for credit and debit sales in a timely manner is also a key responsibility.
  • Cashiers will need to accept payments, verify prices and quantities, and provide receipts to customers with a smile.
  • Handling exchanges and refunds quickly and efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude is essential.
  • Maintaining accurate cash drawer balances and keeping the checkout area clean and organized is also crucial.
Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree in Business or any 4-year course is preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a similar industry with cashiering experience and POS skills is required.
  • Excellent communication and people skills with the ability to work with minimal supervision are necessary.
  • Computer literacy and a willingness to learn new technology are also expected.
