Job Overview

The role of an offshore accounting professional involves providing support to Australian accountants and bookkeepers with day-to-day client needs, preparing financial statements, tax returns, and BAS/IAS. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years' experience in an Australian CPA/CA accounting firm.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate financial statements, tax returns, and BAS/IAS in line with Australian compliance requirements.
  • Support Australian accountants and bookkeepers with timely lodgments, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Perform administrative tasks to ensure the success of the team.
Requirements (must-have)
  • Strong knowledge of Australian tax compliance.
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills.
  • Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.
Required Skills
  • Ability to prepare financial statements, tax returns, and BAS/IAS accurately and efficiently.
  • Strong working knowledge of Xero and cloud-based accounting systems.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with Australian accountants, bookkeepers, and clients.
  • Time management & deadline focus, especially with ATO lodgments.
  • Adaptability & willingness to learn.
  • Confidentiality & integrity in handling sensitive financial data.
  • High level of accuracy when entering data, reconciling accounts, and preparing reports.
  • Ability to spot errors, inconsistencies, or potential issues and resolve them proactively.
Working Hours

38 hours per week between 9:00am–5:30pm AEST, Monday to Thursday, and 9:00am–3:00pm AEST Friday, with a 24-minute lunch break.

Travel

Quarterly functions are held in Pampanga, requiring travel for team bonding.
