Accounting Expert Wanted

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced accounting professional to join our team. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting-related functions, including tax return preparation, bookkeeping, research, reconciliation, and budgeting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare personal and business tax returns, including work papers and using firm templates.
  • Conduct independent research on all necessary laws prior to submitting returns to the reviewer.
  • Prepare tax projections and planning tasks for clients, including determining tax liability, salary requirements, payroll liabilities, and estimated payments.
  • Handle correspondences with IRS and state agencies, perform teleconferences, and prepare payment plan paperwork, Powers of Attorney, S Elections, SS-4 forms, and State registrations.
  • Perform external bookkeeping, adjust balance sheets, handle year-end adjustments, provide QuickBooks support, collect tax return information, and review monthly and quarterly bookkeeping.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance-related field.
  • Proficient in tax and accounting software/tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, QuickBooks, CCH Access/ProFX Tax, Intelliconnect Tax Research, Intelliforms, Tax Tools, CFS Payroll, Practice Management Time Entry, Accounting Research, PFX Tax Planning, Proseries Tax Planner, CCH Engagement External Bookkeeper.
  • Licensed as a certified public accountant is a plus.
  • Excellent grasp of all Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Aptitude in data management, analytics, and reporting preparation.
  • Ability to function in an autonomous environment—independent worker, self-directed.

This role requires a high level of expertise in accounting principles, tax laws, and financial regulations. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
