Job Description:

We are seeking a Tax Accountant to join our team. As a Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements, tax returns, and BAS/IAS.

  • Preparation of financial statements, tax returns, BAS/IAS
  • Supporting Australian accountants and bookkeepers with day-to-day client needs
  • Performing administrative tasks to ensure timely lodgments
  • Maintaining accuracy and attention to detail under tight deadlines
  • Daily timesheet entry

The ideal candidate will have experience in an Australian CPA/CA accounting firm, strong knowledge of Australian tax compliance, excellent written and spoken English skills, and ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Ability to prepare financial statements, tax returns, BAS/IAS accurately and in line with Australian compliance requirements
  • Strong working knowledge of Xero and cloud-based accounting systems
  • Excellent written and spoken English to liaise with Australian accountants, bookkeepers, and clients
  • Ability to communicate clearly across different time zones and work styles
  • Time management & deadline focus, especially with ATO lodgments
  • Adaptability & willingness to learn
  • Confidentiality & integrity in handling sensitive financial data
  • High level of accuracy when entering data, reconciling accounts, and preparing reports
  • Ability to spot errors, inconsistencies, or potential issues and resolve them proactively
Benefits:

Our company offers a supportive culture, 38 hours per week between 9:00am–5:30pm AEST, Monday to Thursday, and 9:00am–3:00pm AEST Friday, with a 24-minute lunch break. If you prefer a 54-minute lunch break, you may extend your working hours by 30 minutes each day, mutually agreed with the Company.

Working Hours and Travel:

Our offshore team usually catches up for quarterly functions twice a year in Pampanga, so you must be willing to travel for team bonding.
