Pollution Control Officer Job Description

As a Pollution Control Officer, your primary responsibility is to establish and implement effective measures to prevent pollution and protect the environment. This includes developing and implementing environmental policies, conducting regular audits, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

  • Create and execute comprehensive environmental plans and programs to minimize waste generation and reduce pollution impacts on air, land, water, flora, fauna, and human health.
  • Maintain liaison with government agencies, local authorities, and other stakeholders to stay updated on environmental regulations, requirements, and emerging technologies.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor pollution control facilities, identify areas for improvement, and ensure adherence to established standards.
  • Develop and submit reports, certificates, and other documentation as required by DENR-EMB, LLDA, and other regulatory bodies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering (BSChE) or Mechanical Engineering (BSME), preferably with a license.
  • At least 2 years of experience in environmental management, pollution control, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in pollution control facility operation and maintenance.
  • Amenable to working a 6-day week schedule and willing to work onsite at our location.
  • Familiarity with relevant environmental laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
