Job Title: Environmental Compliance Specialist

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Compliance Specialist to join our team. This role will involve applying specialized engineering skills to obtain, maintain, and document regulatory certifications for our products.

The successful candidate will be part of a team that supports different business activities required to ensure our products are aligned with various regulations and directives applicable to our products.


About the Role:
  • Perform Product Material Compliance analysis for existing and emerging regulations applicable to Discrete Automation products through investigation, evaluation, and calculation of present restricted substances in components in accordance with regulatory thresholds.
  • Create and maintain different internal compliance system management used by the business unit through different tools.
  • Communicate with internal customers reports, certificates, or declarations pertaining to product environmental compliance.
  • Review component material data for product compliance analysis and business requirements by data scrubbing and establishing material qualification criteria for product lifecycle management qualification and enrollment.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering along with practical chemical, mechanical, and electrical skills.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in Environmental Compliance Engineering.
  • Working knowledge of environmental legislation and similar (e.g., EU ROHS, EU REACH, etc.).
  • Ability to conduct data gathering based on drawings, ERP information, and other references.
  • Knowledge of materials and chemical substances and ability to calculate substance content/concentration.
  • Ability to interpret drawings and technical specifications and analyze and grade product BOMs.
  • Knowledge of PLM systems and compliance databases.
