About the Role

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support our accounting operations in a remote role.

In this position, you will be responsible for preparing financial reports, maintaining accurate general ledgers, managing daily accounting tasks, and assisting in month-end closings. Your role will be crucial in ensuring financial accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with U.S. accounting standards (GAAP).

  • Assist in preparing monthly financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow)
  • Perform journal entries, reconciliations, and ensure accuracy in general ledger accounts
  • Process and review accounts payable and receivable transactions
  • Generate accurate financial reports and analyses for review by clients and senior staff
  • Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and variance reports
  • Maintain up-to-date records and ensure documentation supports reported balances
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed financial reports and analysis for review by clients and senior staff
  • Perform bank reconciliation and manage cash flow projections
  • Support compliance with U.S. federal, state, and local accounting regulations
Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
  • 3+ years of corporate accounting experience
  • Experience working remotely for a U.S.-based accounting firm
  • Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, and cost control principles
  • Advanced proficiency with spreadsheet software (MS Excel and Google Sheets)
