Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or any relevant course
  • Preferably a Certified Public Accountant and/or US CMA
  • EXPERIENCED: 2 to 3 years of relevant work experience, preferably with at least 1 year working in a US public accounting firm
  • SENIOR: 4 to 6 years of relevant work experience inclusive of at least 2 years working in a US public accounting firm
  • At least 1 year of experience training, mentoring, and guiding junior accounting staff
  • Must be proficient in any two (2) of the following accounting software: (Quick Books, Sage Intacct, NetSuite, and/or Xero)
  • Experienced in US GAAP and financial reporting standards
  • Knowledge of is highly advantageous
  • Proficient in MS Excel and other MS Office Suite apps
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Amenable to work in a Hybrid set-up
  • Willing to work the night shift

Responsibilities:

  • Process day-to-day accounting transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and journal entries.
  • Assist with billing, invoicing, and accounts receivable functions, including customer billing, collections, and cash application.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Assist with payroll processing, including data entry, payroll calculations, and payroll tax filings.
  • Assist in the preparation of tax returns, including sales tax returns, payroll tax returns, and income tax returns.
  • Provide proactive recommendations and solutions to clients to improve accounting processes and financial performance.
  • Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentiality;
  • Ensure compliance with payroll tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
