Financial Operations Specialist

We are looking for an experienced accounting professional to join our team as a Financial Operations Specialist.
">This role is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting, job costing, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll. A solid understanding of construction estimating is required to support budgeting and cost control efforts on projects.
">- Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
- Perform job costing and track expenses by project
- Process accounts payable and receivable, invoices, and vendor payments
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and vendor statements
- Prepare financial reports, including P&L, cash flow, and balance sheets
- Assist with estimating by reviewing plans, material take-offs, and subcontractor bids
- Support project managers with budget tracking and cost-to-complete analysis
- Manage payroll and ensure compliance with construction labor laws
A successful candidate will have:
">- Bookkeeping experience, preferably in construction
- Knowledge of construction accounting and job costing is required
- Experience with estimating processes, bids, or take-offs is a strong plus
- Proficient in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Buildertrend)
- Strong Excel and data entry skills
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
