Accounts Payable and Receivable Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented professional to join our finance team as an Accounts Payable and Receivable Specialist.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing both accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of financial transactions while maintaining strong relationships with vendors and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process vendor invoices and employee reimbursements accurately and promptly.

  • Evaluate vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

  • Schedule and prepare payments via electronic funds transfer or check.

  • Maintain organized records of payments and vendor files.

  • Assist in month-end closing by preparing AP-related reports.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Generating and sending customer invoices in accordance with contract terms.

  • Monitoring accounts for overdue balances and following up on outstanding receivables.

  • Applying customer payments accurately in the accounting system.

  • Collaborating with sales and customer service teams to resolve billing issues.

  • Reconciling AR ledger and supporting month-end reporting processes.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • 2–3 years of experience in an AP/AR or general accounting role.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Netsuite, Sage).

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with accounting systems.

  • Familiarity with internal controls and accounting standards.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
