Senior Shopify Developer Job Description

Our ideal candidate is a seasoned e-commerce professional with expertise in Shopify development. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering cutting-edge online shopping experiences that exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Theme Customization: Customize and maintain Shopify themes to meet the evolving needs of our clients, leveraging templates from the Shopify Theme Store where possible, with a focus on Enterprise or Impact themes.
  • Bespoke Theme Development: Develop and implement bespoke Shopify themes as required, ensuring each client's vision is meticulously realized.
  • Integration and Enhancements: Integrate third-party applications and APIs to enhance website functionality, driving seamless user experiences across devices.
  • Performance Optimization: Ensure fast load times and a responsive user experience by implementing efficient design practices and optimizing site performance.
  • SEO Best Practices: Build websites adhering to SEO best practices to improve site visibility and search rankings, thereby increasing online presence.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Troubleshoot and resolve website issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure continuous business operations.

Requirements:

  • Shopify Expertise: Proven experience in Shopify development, showcasing ability to customize themes and build custom solutions as needed.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid (Shopify's templating language).
  • PHP and Frameworks: Familiarity with PHP and frameworks like Laravel.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent English communication skills for clear internal collaboration.
  • Availability: Available to work West Coast hours.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
