Job Overview

A Workday Certified Payroll Consultant will be responsible for deploying Workday solutions by architecting, configuring, and testing them to meet client needs. This role involves developing other consultants, supporting proposal preparations, and delivering product demonstrations to clients.

This position requires expertise in Workday Payroll (including Absence or Time Tracking) product suite.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert guidance in Workday Payroll (including Absence or Time Tracking) product suite.
  • Lead deployments, coach others to gather client business requirements, design and configure Workday solution, demonstrate configurations through prototype systems, assist in testing, and complete knowledge transfer.
  • Work with confidential data conversion team to convert legacy data into Workday.
  • Configure and test integrations between Workday and third-party or custom solutions.
  • Mentor new consultants, serve as a professional role model, and coach others on product knowledge.
  • Resolve complex tasks/requirements when needed.
  • Facilitate clients' adoption of Workday best practices.
  • Maintain ongoing client satisfaction, ensuring referenceability and referability once in production.
  • Provide regular status reports to project managers.
  • Innovate approaches and tools to deploy Workday efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintain Workday certifications and qualifications.
  • Ensure functional solutions are compatible with downstream data translation.
  • Demonstrate computational thinking and problem-solving skills.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 2+ years implementing Payroll/Absence/Time Tracking Solutions.
  • Current active Workday Payroll Certification.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Previous consulting experience with a software company.
  • Experience configuring and deploying Workday, SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, ADP, Ultimate, or similar applications.
  • Demonstrated project management experience.
  • Functional experience in Payroll, Absence, and/or Time Tracking areas.
  • Ability to manage against timelines and goals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Business analysis and requirements gathering abilities.
  • Ability to learn technology quickly.
