About the Role

The Central Procurement Lead will oversee and manage central procurement processes within our Fit-Out Services department. This role is crucial to ensuring efficient and timely procurement of materials and services required for various projects. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure all procurement activities are executed effectively and align with the company's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Foster a strong customer-centric culture within the procurement team. Demonstrate excellence in customer service personally and coach and mentor team members to consistently deliver a customer-focused experience.
  • Lead the procurement team in the purchasing of materials and services. Ensure all orders are placed accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to project timelines.
  • Track performance and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure materials are available when needed without overstocking. Implement inventory management best practices to minimize waste and optimize storage space.
  • Continuously assess and improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Implement new technologies and systems as necessary.
  • Work closely with delivery managers and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure all procurement activities support project goals.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and cost savings. Provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field, preferably within the construction or fit-out industry.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing a team. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and inventory management systems.
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
