Job Title: Policy and Compliance Specialist

As a Policy and Compliance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our organization's policies and procedures are up-to-date, systematically reviewed, and fully compliant with applicable standards and regulations.

About the Role

This is a 100% remote work opportunity where you will work independently and cross-functionally across departments to ensure consistency in policy language and compliance practices. Your expertise will be utilized to draft new policies and procedures based on leadership directives, operational goals, or changes in regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Curate all policies and procedures across the organization, including HR, Clinical Operations, Residential Programs, Administrative Services, and Compliance Programs.
  • Maintain an indexed, up-to-date master library of current policies and archived versions.
  • Track and enforce review cycles (e.g., annual, biennial) and coordinate timely updates and re-approvals.
  • Ensure that all policies reflect current practices and are compliant with applicable laws, regulations, and accrediting standards.
  • Draft new policies and procedures based on leadership directives, operational goals, or changes in regulatory requirements.
  • Distribute draft documents to relevant stakeholders for feedback and incorporate suggested changes.
  • Prepare finalized documents for approval and publication in our official policy repository.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Policy, Legal Studies, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • 3–5 years of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or policy management within a healthcare or behavioral health organization.
  • Familiarity with Joint Commission, Arizona DHS, and applicable labor and healthcare regulations.
  • Strong technical writing, policy drafting, and document control skills.
  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally across HR, operations, and clinical teams.
  • Proficient with cloud-based document systems, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and project tracking platforms.
