Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, examining, and analyzing financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with established standards and regulations.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in accounting software and tools is also required.

This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining financial databases, software systems, and manual filing systems. You will prepare and analyze budgets, comparing budgeted costs to actual costs, and analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to project future revenues and expenses.

As an experienced Accountant, you will provide strategic financial recommendations based on financial analysis, coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies to ensure documentation compliance, and collaborate with management to provide insights for financial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, examine, and analyze financial statements and reports
  • Develop, implement, and maintain financial databases, software systems, and manual filing systems
  • Prepare and analyze budgets
  • Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations
  • Provide strategic financial recommendations
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies

The highly regarded skills and experience include experience with international or country-specific financial accounting, knowledge of software like Xero, Quickbooks, Freshbooks, MYOB, etc., professional certifications (CPA, CMA, ACCA), familiarity with regional financial regulations, and experience with audits.
