Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Home-Based Accounting Specialist to join our team.

This role involves handling core accounting responsibilities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, royalty reporting, and financial support tasks. The successful candidate will be responsible for entering supplier invoices into QuickBooks, preparing weekly check runs based on cash flow forecasts, generating client invoices upon order completion, conducting routine collection follow-ups and issuing past-due notices and statements, managing royalty entry and submissions, assisting in the preparation of year-end financial statements, ensuring timely and accurate posting of all accounting transactions, and performing general clerical support and resolving accounting issues as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accounts Payable Management: Enter all supplier invoices into QuickBooks, ensure timely payment, and maintain accurate records.
  • Financial Planning: Prepare weekly check runs based on cash flow forecasts, manage cash flow effectively, and make informed decisions about investments.
  • Client Invoicing: Generate client invoices upon order completion, track payments, and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Collections and Follow-ups: Conduct routine collection follow-ups and issue past-due notices and statements to clients.
  • Royalty Management: Manage royalty entry and submissions, track revenue, and optimize royalty structures.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of year-end financial statements, analyze financial data, and provide insights to stakeholders.
  • Accounting Support: Ensure timely and accurate posting of all accounting transactions, perform general clerical support, and resolve accounting issues as assigned.
Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • At least 3 years of accounting experience in a professional setting is necessary.
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills are essential.
  • Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks is required.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and general Office Suite proficiency (Word, Outlook) are necessary.
