We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional to fill the role of Financial Compliance Specialist. The ideal candidate will have experience in Australian accounting standards, taxation, and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Statement Analysis: Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) to ensure accuracy and compliance with ATO regulations.
  • Taxation and Compliance: Lodge BAS, IAS, and GST reports in compliance with ATO regulations, as well as assist in the preparation of income tax returns for businesses and individuals.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with Australian tax laws and accounting standards (AASB, IFRS), while identifying and mitigating potential risks.
  • Communication and Liaison: Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Process Improvement: Improve financial processes and internal controls for efficiency and effectiveness.

The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, as well as minimum 2 years of Australian accounting experience. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in MS Office (MS Word, Outlook, and Excel) are essential.

Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Australian tax laws, BAS/GST, and ATO compliance; proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or similar.

Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
