This role focuses on leveraging data and analytics to drive strategic decision-making, optimise operations, and enrich pet care with personalised experiences.

The Opportunity

We are implementing a company-wide data governance program to manage our organisation's data assets.

The team's objective is to transform data into actionable insights that inform business decisions and drive growth.

Expected technical skills include solid SQL knowledge, Python proficiency, and experience with big data databases and engineering principles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop data feeds to collect information from external systems.
  • Transform data into more informative models using Python.
  • Implement monitoring tools to ensure data assets are performing well.
  • Generate data sets for statistical analysis and create visualisations.
  • Maintain data structures and processes to ensure they remain usable and maintainable.
Required Qualifications:
  • 2-5+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering.
  • Extensive experience with BI tools, particularly Looker.
  • Experience modelling data and creating transformation pipelines with Dataform or DBT.
  • Proficiency in working with cloud-based data warehouses.
