Pet Food Formulation Specialist

Description:

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled and passionate pet food formulation expert to join our team in crafting high-quality, nutritionally balanced diets for dogs and cats. As a Pet Food Formulation Specialist, you will be responsible for formulating complete and balanced diets that meet the nutritional needs of our furry friends.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough nutritional assessments and analysis of ingredients to ensure the production of high-quality pet food products.
  • Collaborate with research and development teams to develop innovative pet food formulations that meet customer preferences and regulatory guidelines.
  • Utilize knowledge of companion animal physiology and dietary requirements to formulate diets that enhance the health and well-being of pets.
  • Perform quality control checks on raw materials, intermediate products, and finished pet food to maintain consistency and safety standards.
  • Monitor and evaluate pet food trends, consumer preferences, and emerging nutritional research to inform product development strategies.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Animal Science, Animal Nutrition, Veterinary Medicine, Food Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience working as a Pet Food Nutritionist, Animal Nutritionist, or in a related role within the pet food industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of companion animal physiology, nutrient requirements, and dietary guidelines for dogs and cats.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and precision in formulating diets and conducting nutritional analyses.
