Job Description:

The primary objective of this role is to oversee full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, and ensure compliance across multiple platforms such as short-term rental channels.

  • Manage daily accounting operations for a portfolio of short-term rental properties.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, merchant accounts, and booking platform payouts on a regular basis.
  • Track income, occupancy taxes, fees, and commissions from various rental platforms.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and cash flow reports to facilitate informed business decisions.
  • Collaborate with property managers or hosts regarding budget adherence and expense tracking.
  • Manage accounts payable/receivable and ensure timely payments to vendors.
  • Maintain accurate records for audits and tax filings, including transient occupancy tax (TOT) or similar.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning specific to seasonal rental cycles to optimize revenue streams.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proficient in accounting software and familiar with financial reporting standards.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with property managers and other stakeholders.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail when preparing financial reports and maintaining records.
