This role is responsible for coordinating the credentialing process for healthcare providers.
About the Position
The ideal candidate will be a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with experience in administrative support, preferably within a healthcare setting or a regulated environment. They should possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy and efficiency in administrative processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the credentialing and re-credentialing process for healthcare providers, including managing applications, conducting primary source verification, and maintaining the credentialing database with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant federal, state, and local regulations and accreditation standards, serving as a key point of contact for providers and external entities (licensing boards, payers, etc.) for credentialing-related inquiries and processes.
- Assist with the provider privileging process by preparing necessary documentation and facilitate the credentialing components of new provider onboarding to ensure a smooth transition.
- Support the generation of credentialing reports, proactively identify and help resolve credentialing issues, and contribute to the improvement of credentialing processes and workflows.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of relevant administrative support experience, ideally within a healthcare setting or a regulated environment.
- Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment, contributing to collective success, and capable of managing tasks independently with minimal supervision.
- A keen eye for detail and a methodical approach to managing documentation and data, with eagerness to learn and develop expertise in healthcare credentialing standards and compliance.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with clear and effective written and verbal communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Organizational and time management skills, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment.
