Job Summary

We are seeking an accomplished Category Manager to oversee and drive the growth of our food product categories. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the food industry, excellent supplier management skills, and the ability to develop and implement effective category strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute category plans to maximize sales, profitability, and market share.
  • Conduct thorough market analysis and stay informed about industry trends to identify opportunities for growth within assigned categories.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, including negotiation of terms and contracts.
  • Oversee product assortment, inventory levels, and demand planning to ensure optimal product availability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute category plans and promotional activities.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, pricing, and customer preferences to optimize product mix and category positioning.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide regular reports on category performance and offer recommendations to senior management.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Category Manager, Buyer, or Merchandiser in the food manufacturing industry.
  • Age requirement: not exceeding 45 years old.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement, supply chain, and product lifecycle management.
  • Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and market analysis skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools to inform decision-making.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and deliver results.
  • Residence near office locations is required.
