Job Overview

The IT Operations Specialist will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations, monitoring, and maintenance of our IT system.

  • Proactive troubleshooting, performance optimization, and collaboration with cross-functional teams are key responsibilities of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Monitor system status to identify potential issues, solve problems promptly, and ensure stable system operation.
  2. Regularly inspect the system to guarantee normal hardware, software, and network environment operation.
  3. Respond quickly to system failures, diagnose root causes, and take appropriate action to resolve them.
  4. Work closely with the development team to resolve technical issues and maintain system functionality.
  5. Ensure system security by supervising security measures, addressing SOC's rectification requirements, and eliminating potential threats.
  6. Monitor system performance, identify performance bottlenecks, and recommend optimizations to ensure efficient system operation.
  7. Perform system tuning to improve responsiveness and user experience.
  8. Assist in planning system updates and upgrades to keep systems up-to-date with the latest software versions.
  9. During updates and upgrades, minimize business disruption and maintain system stability.
  10. Develop operation and maintenance manuals, troubleshooting guides, and other reference materials to support team members.
  11. Provide training and support to team members to help them better understand and address system issues.
  12. Participate in a shift system ensuring 24/7 monitoring and support of the system.
  13. Respond promptly in emergency situations and take necessary actions to restore system functionality.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's/College Degree in Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in IT system operations and maintenance, preferably in telecommunications or IT.
  • Strong understanding of IT system architecture, components, and functionalities.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving with a logical and systematic approach.
  • Familiarity with system monitoring tools and techniques for proactive issue detection.
  • Experience in system configuration management and security best practices.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and provide off-hours support when required.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills in English, including technical writing skills.
  • Understanding of Mandarin language is a plus.
  • Background in Telecommunications industry is a plus.
