Job Overview

This role is responsible for overseeing contractor relationships to ensure compliance and optimize efficiency. It involves developing and implementing contractor management strategies.


Main Responsibilities

  • Develops contractor management strategies, establishing policies and procedures for managing contractors while ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.

  • Provides guidance and training to teams on contract negotiation, performance management, and risk mitigation.

  • Supports various teams by offering guidance, resolving issues, and ensuring consistent application of best practices.

  • Manages the contract lifecycle from initial negotiation and drafting to execution, monitoring, and termination, ensuring contractual obligations are met.

  • Negotiates contracts with contractors, securing favorable terms and conditions.

  • Monitors contractor performance against contractual obligations, identifying potential issues and taking corrective action.

  • Identifies, assesses, and mitigates potential risks associated with contracts, including financial, legal, and operational risks.

  • Evaluates contractor and team performance, providing feedback and support to improve performance and ensure optimal efficiency.

  • Fosters strong relationships with contractors, promoting trust and collaboration for smooth project execution and long-term partnerships.

  • Analyzes contract data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for streamlining processes, reducing costs, and improving overall efficiency.

  • Ensures that all contracts and contractor relationships comply with applicable laws and regulations, working closely with legal teams as needed.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.

  • Possession of an MBA and/or other relevant qualification is desirable.

  • At least 8-10 years of experience in Procurement or Supply Chain Management, preferably in real estate or construction.

  • 5 years of people management experience.

  • A wide network of suppliers/contractors in real estate/construction industry.

  • Proven track record in contractor and supplier negotiation, cost reduction, and savings.
