Procurement Specialist

The role of a procurement specialist involves sourcing vendors, managing suppliers, and negotiating contracts. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Vendor Sourcing & Management: Source contractors, local suppliers, and international vendors/contractors based on project requirements.
  • Procurement & Negotiation Support: Assist in all pre-sales and procurement processes including canvassing, proposal gathering, and initial vendor negotiations.
  • Project & Site Support: Conduct site visits to ensure proper mobilization of manpower, deliveries, and equipment.
  • Administrative Support: Prepare reports, documentation, and procurement records.

Qualifications & Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Business Administration, Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical), or related courses.
  • 1–2 years of work experience in procurement, preferably in construction or related industry.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other business tools.
  • Has initiative, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage time efficiently.
