Staff Accountant Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate holds an accounting degree and demonstrates a strong aptitude for financial analysis and general ledgers.

Main Responsibilities
  • Process high volumes of vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain General Ledger by recording all financial transactions accurately in the general ledger system.
  • Prepare Financial Statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements on a periodic basis.
  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare reports and statements.
  • Reconcile Accounts to ensure accuracy and make necessary adjustments.
  • Lead or assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage accruals for expenses incurred but not yet paid and prepayments for expenses paid in advance.
  • Provide necessary information and support during internal and external audits.
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance.
Candidate Qualifications
  • Accounting degree from an accredited institution.
  • Experience with GLs and proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in English (verbal and written).
  • Strong organization and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of accounting systems, specifically Great Plains (GP) or any ERP system.
