Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional with experience in financial statement preparation and analysis? Do you have expertise in US generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and practices?

We are seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our team. As an Accounting Specialist, you will perform routine accounting activities such as payroll, general ledger posting, accounts payable and receivable functions, and preparation of various accounting reports and financial statements.

Responsibilities
  • Preparation of Financial Statements: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements including cash flows for multiple clients and industries.
  • Reconciliations and Reviews: Prepare bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations. Review accounts for appropriate postings and calculate retained earnings.
  • Tax Preparation: Prepare quarterly and year-end payroll tax returns. Assist clients with accounting, payroll, and basic software issues.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations for business growth and improvement.
  • Client Support: Provide excellent client support and communication, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of services.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in accounting or relevant field.
  • US Experience: US accounting experience is a must.
  • GAAP Expertise: Strong understanding of US generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and practices.
  • Accounting Software: Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite).
  • Microsoft Excel: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
