Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team in a fully remote role. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.

This is a mid-senior level position requiring strong proficiency with accounting software and a high level of skill in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets. You will also have exceptional attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

The ideal candidate is a proactive and independent professional with a solid understanding of core accounting principles and a passion for maintaining precise financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage all aspects of AP and AR, including processing vendor invoices, generating customer invoices, and overseeing collections.
  • Reconciliations: Perform regular bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Month-End Close: Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing journal entries, accruals, and financial statements.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of key financial reports, such as the Profit & Loss (P&L) statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statement.
  • Payroll Support: Assist with the processing of payroll, ensuring all data is accurate and compliant with relevant regulations.
  • Data Management: Maintain the integrity of financial data within our accounting software and other systems.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 2-4+ years of hands-on experience in an accounting or full-charge bookkeeping role.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite) and a high level of skill in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Accounting Knowledge: A solid understanding of core accounting principles (e.g., GAAP).
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
  • Independence: The ability to work independently, manage your own time effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • A CPA or other relevant accounting certification.
  • Experience working remotely for a US-based or international company.
