Senior Financial Analyst Role

The purpose of this position is to analyze financial data and provide strategic insights that inform business decisions.

You will be responsible for conducting in-depth analyses of revenue, cost of sales, client margins, SG&A expenses, and system data to identify historical trends, current operations, and future projections.

This role requires close collaboration with senior-level management to develop reports that help make critical decisions about revenue, clients, and expense management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze statistical data and apply accounting principles to evaluate past and present operations as well as future revenues and expenditures.
  • Familiarize yourself with our projection model and update metrics as needed to ensure accurate and timely projections.
  • Create financial models, prepare forecasts, and conduct research and analysis on all aspects of finance and operations.
  • Meet with the VP of Finance to develop project plans and communicate status.
  • Update the projection model as necessary to reflect new or revised data and communicate changes.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of accounting principles and ability to interpret business transactions and journalize properly.
  • Identify and reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
  • Recommend financial actions based on accounting options.
  • Assist with budgeting processes, which may include gathering information, analysis, and reporting from various systems.
  • Become a subject matter expert on Business Intelligence (BI) in Ultimate Software through online training and on-the-job experience.
