
Customer Loyalty and Retention Specialist

This role is responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive retention strategy that drives repeat purchases and maximizes lifetime value. As a Retention Manager, you will own email, SMS, and loyalty programs, blending lifecycle marketing, VIP engagement, membership growth, and customer advocacy to create a retention engine that surprises and delights customers.
About the JobYou will design automated journeys that keep customers coming back, build programs that turn VIPs into brand promoters, and create a retention strategy that informs growth, product, and CX strategies. This is a full-time role that requires your own reliable equipment and an ability to work independently as an independent contractor.
Key Responsibilities- Build and optimize advanced flows (welcome, onboarding, replenishment, winback, VIP, membership) that drive engagement and repeat purchases.
- Identify and nurture top buyers with personalized outreach, turning them into affiliates, brand advocates, and case study partners.
- Grow adoption of our membership plan, reduce churn, and create exclusive perks that keep customers engaged long-term.
- Launch referral, loyalty, and UGC programs that turn satisfied customers into active promoters of the brand.
- Run surveys, segment customers, and deliver retention reports with insights to inform growth, product, and CX strategies.
- Proven track record of scaling email/SMS programs for e-commerce.
- Experience in customer retention, VIP management, or loyalty programs.
- Excellent communicator: strong writing + comfortable engaging directly with customers.
- Data-driven – knows how to track, analyze, and present retention metrics.
- Creative mindset: designs flows, perks, and campaigns that surprise and delight.
